Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OAMRT)

OAMRT serves the interests of MRTs in the Province of Ontario with strong emphasis on advocacy issues, continuing education and the advancement of the Profession. The Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists is committed to meet the needs and concerns of its Members for their professional success.

The OAMRT was incorporated in 1935. It was a major player in forming the CAMRT. Until the 1970s, it undertook all responsibilities for Medical Radiation Technology in Ontario including who was allowed to enter training programs. At present the OAMRT serves as the authoritative voice for the profession in Ontario. The OAMRT is Member driven. It is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors, aided by an Executive Director, Office Staff, Committees and Section Executives. Directors serve as multi-task communication links between the Membership and the Board.
