Cell phones may be used in non-patient care areas such as lobbies, offices and
eatery areas. Cell phones may also be used in patient care waiting rooms where
there is a sign that indicates usage is permitted. Cell phones may not be used
on patient floors where they may interfere with patient care equipment and
members of the health-care team. If you choose to use your cell phone, please
consider other patients and their families. You may notice members of your
health-care team using portable phones within patient care areas. These are not
cell phones but are connected to an internal network and do not interfere with
patient care equipment.
