Ground Parking

Metered parking is available close to the hospital, throughout the city and
downtown core, both on-street and in parking lots. The maximum length of
stay at meters varies between 1 and 3 hours. The cost for metered
parking varies between $1 and $2/hour. Most meters near KGH are the "Pay and
Display" model. Rates are $1.50 per hour (maximum 2 hour stay) or 25 cents for
10 minutes. Payment is required Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Queen's Underground
Queen's Underground (directly across from KGH Main Entrance) is open 24hrs a
day. The cost for a days parking is $12.00
The tunnel under Stuart St. is open from 0600 to 2100 hours and is reopened
from 2230 to 2300 for nursing shift change
Handicap Parking:
Handicap parking is available in the Underground Garage on Stuart St. Short-term
parking is available at the Main Entrance parking and the Fraser Armstrong
entrance
Rates

At the main entrance of the hospital there is a short-term parking lot. It has
both regular spaces and handicap spaces.

The price for 1 hour parking is $2.00

The price for 2 hour parking is $3.00

There is a ticket machine located at the entrance to the lot. A ticket must be
obtained and placed in the windshield of the vehicle.

For those using the 20 min. pick-up/drop-off spots, your vehicle must be
checked in with Security.
Enforcement

Parking regulations are in effect and enforced 24 hours a day.

Enforcement of parking regulations is done by Security, who are by-law
enforcement officers for the purpose of issuing tickets on hospital property.

The current fines are $25.00 for unauthorized parking off street, and $100.00
for parking in a handicapped zone without a permit.

In extreme circumstances, a vehicle may be towed.
Disputes:
if you received a parking ticket and you wish to contest it, you may do so by
obtaining a complaint form from the Main Entrance Security desk.
