Kingston General Hospital recognizes that family, significant others and friends contribute to a positive patient experience and positive health outcomes. As such, KGH has moved toward flexible visiting hours based upon the needs and wishes of each patient.
Patients should have no more than two visitors at a time. Children under age 14 must be under constant and direct supervision of an adult (not the patient) at all times.
Visiting may be interrupted to provide patient care and may be restricted to protect the privacy rights of other patients or to maintain safety and security.
Visitors in the hospital between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. must visit the security kiosk in the Kidd/Davies main lobby to be issued a temporary ID. As always, visitors who are feeling unwell, have an infection, have flu-like or respiratory symptoms or a communicable disease should not visit.
