Cardiovascular Research

Division members are involved in clinical research in multiple areas. Some of the current projects involve:

  1. Dobutamine stress echocardiography,
  2. Enzyme studies in acute myocardial infarction,
  3. Multimedia presentation as an educational tool in cardiology,
  4. Clinical use of nitrates in coronary disease and development of tolerance,
  5. Computer interpretation of ECGs,
  6. Studies in atrial fibrillation,
  7. Coronary artery disease in women,
  8. Educational methods for teaching ECG interpretation,
  9. Biventricular pacing,
  10. New ICD technologies,
  11. Investigation and management of syncope and
  12. Secondary Vascular Prevention.

We are also involved in multicentre clinical trials.
