Clinical Trials
Kingston General Hospital houses the clinical trials department of the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario (CCSEO). The CCSEO is a member of multiple cooperative clinical trial groups, and conducts all phases of clinical trials, including phase I, II, III and prevention trials. Clinical trials are an integral part of cancer care and provide very important knowledge to improve cancer treatment and cancer care for current and future patients. The majority of trials are undertaken on an ambulatory care basis at the cancer centre.
The clinical trials department is led by Dr. Tara Baetz supported by clinical research associates and clinical trials clerks who coordinate the studies and collect the data for the trials. Please see the attached links for more information on clinical trials or a list of active clinical trials.
