Volunteer Services - About Volunteer Services

Kingston General Hospital is supported by a team of over 800 volunteers who contribute not only their time but also their skills and expertise to 50 programs, services, departments and units throughout the hospital.

They connect with patients, provide respite for family members, compliment the high quality care of professional staff and help raise funds toward the Auxiliary’s financial commitment to purchase much needed hospital equipment and to provide educational bursaries for staff.

The Department of Volunteer Services seeks to recruit, select and support volunteers who will make a positive and worthwhile contribution to the well being of patients in this hospital. To that end, we offer opportunities that suit a variety of schedules, interests, skill levels and ages.
